It’s the beginning of a hot summer in the Bronx, 1993. Brendan, a troubled Irish-American high school dropout, is starting a new job at a supermarket in a Latin American neighborhood. Brendan meets Eva, a confident but conflicted girl from a close-knit Puerto Rican family, and immediately falls for her kind heart and passion. Eva’s home life isn’t without its struggles either. Brendan and Eva fall deeply in love and are swept up in the passion of the summer.
